Profile

The National Federation of Workers and Consumers Kyosai Cooperatives (Kokumin Kyosai coop, ZENROSAI) is a national kyosai (cooperative insurance) federation established under the Consumer Livelihood Cooperative Societies Act, originating in workers' kyosai in Osaka in 1954, forming a national federation in 1957, and achieving nationwide business integration under the 'Zenrosai' name in 1976, headquartered in Tokyo. It provides life, fire, motor and other kyosai coverage to workers and general consumers, making it one of Japan's largest cooperative kyosai organisations, and it has long ranked among the World Cooperative Monitor's Global 300.
