The National Federation of Forest Owners' Cooperative Associations (ZENMORI-REN, also known as JForest) is the national federation of Japan's forest owners' cooperative system, with prefectural forest owners' cooperative federations as its members, headquartered in Tokyo. Forest owners' cooperatives are composed of forestland owners and engage in afforestation, tending, felling and timber production and sales. According to its data, Japan's forest owners' cooperative system nationwide comprises about 1.5 million members, roughly 610 forest owners' cooperatives and 45 prefectural federations; ZENMORI-REN undertakes guidance, timber distribution and forestry policy promotion, serving as the national representative of Japan's forestry cooperative movement.
