Unimed do Brasil (Unimed National Center) (UNIMED)

Unimed do Brasil (formally the National Confederation of Medical Cooperatives) was founded in 1975 and is headquartered in São Paulo. It is the national top-level body of the Unimed medical cooperative system, coordinating federations and grassroots medical cooperatives nationwide. The Unimed system comprises several hundred medical cooperatives and more than 110,000 cooperative physicians, serving tens of millions of beneficiaries, making it one of Brazil's largest healthcare networks and rated among the world's largest medical cooperative systems.
