UNIVERSIDAD COOPERATIVA DE COLOMBIA (UCC)

The Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia (UCC) is a higher-education institution grounded in the cooperative movement, founded in November 1958 as the "Moses Michael Coady Institute," reorganised in 1961 as the Institute of Social Economy and Cooperativism (Indesco), and became a cooperative university in 1983, headquartered in Bogotá. It maintains campuses in more than a dozen cities nationwide, making it one of Colombia's larger universities by enrolment, long dedicated to talent development and research in cooperativism and the solidarity economy. As an associate member of ICA Americas, it represents the cooperative sector's higher-education capacity.
