Central Union of the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives of Turkey (TKKMB)

The Central Union of the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives of Turkey (Türkiye Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri Merkez Birliği) is Turkey's largest farmers' organisation, established under Law No. 1581 on Agricultural Credit Cooperatives and Unions, composed of agricultural producers organised on a mutual-aid basis. Its system comprises the central union, a number of regional unions and thousands of grassroots cooperatives, providing farmers with credit, agricultural-input supply, and the purchase and sale of agricultural products. According to its website, the system comprises more than 1,600 cooperatives and about 800,000 members. It is a member of the International Co-operative Alliance.
