The Midcounties Co-operative is a large independent consumer cooperative in the United Kingdom, formed in 2005 through the merger of regional cooperatives and headquartered in the English Midlands. Democratically owned by its members, its activities span food retail, energy, travel, childcare, funeral services and other sectors. According to public reports, it has about 750,000 members and annual turnover exceeding £1.5 billion. In early 2026, it merged with Central England Co-op and Chelmsford Star to form OurCoop, the UK's largest independent cooperative.
