The Japan Agricultural News (Nihon-Nogyo-Shimbun)

The Japan Agricultural News (Nihon Nogyo Shimbun Co., Ltd.) is Japan's only national daily newspaper devoted to agriculture, part of the JA (agricultural cooperative) group; its predecessor was Shikyo Tsuho, first published in 1928, and it was reorganised from an agricultural cooperative body into a joint-stock company in 2002, headquartered in Tokyo. The paper provides daily coverage of agricultural technology, agricultural policy developments, weather, and prices for agricultural and livestock products, and has long served as the JA system's platform for public opinion and information, serving Japanese farmers and rural society.
