Profile
Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Sagrada Familia Limitada is a Honduran savings and credit cooperative initiated by three Canadian Catholic priests, inspired by the "preferential option for the poor," aimed at helping impoverished communities; it was formally established in Comayagua in February 1969, starting as a mutual savings arrangement among 52 members. The cooperative provides savings, credit, term deposits and other financial services, and has grown over more than five decades into one of Honduras's larger-membership cooperatives, and is a member of ICA Americas.
