The Pishgaman Cooperative Union (PCU) was founded in 1996 by a group of individuals in Yazd, Iran, as a diversified cooperative group. According to its website, the group has since grown into a cooperative business complex spanning ICT, telecommunications, postal services, manufacturing, agriculture and other sectors, with dozens of affiliated companies and tens of thousands of members (shareholders). PCU is one of Iran's larger cooperatives and a member of ICA's Asia-Pacific region.
