The Organização das Cooperativas Brasileiras (OCB) was founded on 2 December 1969 at the Fourth National Cooperative Congress in Brasília, through the merger of the former ABCOOP and UNASCO, and is headquartered in Brasília. It is the sole national apex representative and coordinating body of the Brazilian cooperative movement, overseeing state-level cooperative organisations and responsible for sectoral representation, policy advocacy and development promotion; it is Brazil's national member organisation within ICA Americas.
