National Federation of University Co-op Associations (NFUCA)

The National Federation of University Co-op Associations (NFUCA) is the national federation of Japan's university consumer cooperatives, formerly the National Federation of School Cooperative Associations established in 1947, reorganised and renamed in 1958, operating under the Consumer Livelihood Cooperative Societies Act, headquartered in Tokyo. Its members are university cooperatives, with business covering book and computer sales, cafeterias, travel and kyosai. According to its website, it has more than 200 member organisations and over 1.5 million members, making it Japan's national representative of the university cooperative movement, and it has been included in the World Cooperative Monitor's Global 300.
