National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC)

The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) is a statutory body established under an Act of the Indian Parliament in 1963, now under the Ministry of Cooperation, headquartered in New Delhi, with several regional and state-level offices across the country. Its function is to plan, promote and finance cooperative-based production, processing, marketing, storage, and import and export activities in agricultural products, food and other designated commodities, serving as the government's development and financing arm for India's cooperative sector. It typically participates in the International Cooperative Alliance in the capacity of a governmental/developmental institution.
