The National Cooperative Development Board (NCDB) is Nepal's statutory autonomous government body overseeing cooperative development, established in August 1991 under the Cooperative Development Board Act (2049 BS), with independent legal status. Its duties are to formulate national-level cooperative development plans and policy, establish a cooperative development fund, conduct research and advise the government, in order to promote the extension and development of cooperatives. The Board is managed by an executive committee chaired by the minister responsible for cooperative affairs. NCDB is a member of ICA's Asia-Pacific region.
