The National Cooperative Council of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) is the national apex organisation representing the entire cooperative movement in Sri Lanka. Its predecessor, the Ceylon Federation of Co-operative Societies, was established in 1955, and was reorganised and renamed NCCSL in 1972, joining the International Cooperative Alliance in 1973. As the representative body for the cooperative movement at home and abroad, NCCSL conducts education and training activities through regional councils, education centres and regional training centres.
