National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA International (NCBA CLUSA)

The National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA International (NCBA CLUSA) is the apex national organisation of the United States cooperative movement. Its predecessor, the Cooperative League of America, was founded in 1916, reorganised around 1922 as the Cooperative League of the USA (CLUSA), and renamed the National Cooperative Business Association in 1985. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the organisation has been engaged for more than a century in cooperative advocacy, promotion and development, and conducts cooperative development work in many countries through international programmes, making it one of America's longest-established national cooperative bodies.
