The Co-operative Housing Federation of Norway (NBBL)

The Co-operative Housing Federation of Norway (Norske Boligbyggelags Landsforbund, NBBL) was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Oslo. It is the national umbrella and interest-representation organisation for Norway's housing cooperative sector. According to its website, NBBL unites more than 40 regional housing-building cooperatives, whose affiliated housing cooperatives and jointly owned apartment associations represent more than 500,000 dwellings and about 1 million individual members, making it one of Norway's largest membership organisations. It works to advance sustainable housing policy and is a member of the International Co-operative Alliance and Cooperative Housing International (CHI).
