Profile
The National Auditing Union of Workers' Cooperatives (Związek Lustracyjny Spółdzielni Pracy, NAUWC) was founded in 1991 as a voluntary, self-governing national union of Poland's worker cooperatives and other cooperative organisations, taking over the functions of bodies dissolved during the transition period. Its main functions include conducting statutory audits of member cooperatives, and representing, defending and providing support services for their interests. The union is a member of the International Co-operative Alliance, the International Organisation of Industrial and Service Cooperatives (CICOPA) and the European Confederation of Worker Cooperatives (CECOP).
