Profile
The National Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks' Federation Ltd (NAFCARD) is the national apex organisation of India's long-term cooperative credit system (agriculture and rural development banks), headquartered in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. Its predecessor, the All-India Central Land Mortgage Banks' Federation, was registered in 1960 and renamed to its current name in 1988; it operates under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002. The federation provides member banks with resource mobilisation, business development, loan recovery and human-resource development support, and represents the common interests of the long-term cooperative credit sector.
