Profile

The Mongolian Cooperative Alliance (Mongolian National Cooperative Alliance, MNCA), founded in 2008, is the national apex organisation representing Mongolia's cooperatives, whose direct members are national sectoral federations. MNCA is dedicated to leading the sustainable development of the cooperative movement, cooperating with government and international bodies, providing policy advocacy and capacity-building, and promoting an improved legal environment for cooperative development; it has played a role in advancing the national cooperative development plan and the 2021 revision of the cooperative legal framework. In 2019 the Mongolian Cooperative Training and Information Centre merged into MNCA, further strengthening its role as the national representative body. MNCA joined the International Cooperative Alliance in 2011.
