Confederación de Cooperativas de Euskadi (Konfekoop)

The Confederación de Cooperativas de Euskadi (Konfekoop) was founded in 1996 as the business organisation representing the cooperative movement of Spain's Basque autonomous community, dedicated to the protection, promotion and advancement of cooperatives and to institutional representation of cooperatives registered or based in the Basque Country. Konfekoop unites more than 1,400 cooperatives, an important strategic and social actor in the region, providing members with general and specialised training, cooperative promotion programmes, and high-value-added services such as consultancy, business information and occupational health and safety. It has also partnered with the Basque government to establish funds promoting local cooperative development, and is a member organisation of CEPES.
