Korean Federation of Community Credit Cooperatives (KFCCC)

The Korean Federation of Community Credit Cooperatives (KFCC, Korean: 새마을금고) is Korea's large-scale national federation of community credit cooperatives, established under the Community Credit Cooperatives Act, headquartered in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It supervises and inspects local community credit cooperatives, provides operational guidance, conducts credit and cooperative kyosai (insurance) business, and undertakes education, research and international cooperation. According to official Korean statistics, as of the end of 2024 the system's total assets stood at approximately KRW 288.6 trillion, with more than a thousand primary-level community credit cooperatives. KFCC became a full member of the International Cooperative Alliance in 1994 and ranks in the World Cooperative Monitor's Global 300 by turnover.
