Jordan Cooperative Corporation (JCC)

The Jordan Cooperative Corporation (JCC) is Jordan's official regulatory body for cooperatives, established under Cooperative Law No. 18 of 1997, headquartered in Amman, and serves as the country's main regulatory and support institution for cooperatives. Its origins trace to the Jordan Cooperative Organisation (JCO) established under Law No. 55 of 1968 (which included the Central Union of Cooperatives, the Cooperative Institute and the establishment of a cooperative bank); JCO was dissolved and replaced by JCC in 1997. JCC is responsible for the registration, regulation, training and development support of cooperatives, and is a member of ICA's Asia-Pacific region.
