Instituto de Cooperativismo - Universidad de Puerto Rico

The Instituto de Cooperativismo - Universidad de Puerto Rico, established under legislative resolution in 1953, is affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico's Río Piedras campus, and is a permanent institution for cooperative education and research. It studies the cooperative movement from a social-sciences perspective, offers a master's programme in cooperative and solidarity-economy management and development, and maintains research incubation and outreach units, serving the university, the cooperative movement and the community. As an educational institution, it participates in ICA Americas as an associate member.
