The Indian Farm Forestry Development Cooperative Ltd. (IFFDC) was formally established as a multi-state cooperative in 1993, initiated by the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO), building on wasteland afforestation work dating back to the mid-1980s. Its mission is to pursue sustainable natural resource management, ecological restoration and climate action through collective action, with a particular focus on improving the socio-economic status of the rural poor, tribal communities and women, implementing afforestation, agriculture, horticulture, livelihood-development and women's-empowerment projects across several states.
