Profile
The IE-NO-HIKARI Association is the publishing and cultural affairs body of Japan's JA (agricultural cooperative) group, originally established in 1944 as the National Agricultural Association's Ie-no-Hikari Association, renamed to its current form in 1948, and reorganised as a general incorporated association in 2013. Headquartered in Tokyo, it serves rural readers, publishing the comprehensive household monthly magazine Ie-no-Hikari as well as Chijo, Chaguriin, Yasaibatake and other magazines, and books on agriculture, cooking and health, having long served the JA system's educational, cultural and rural-life dissemination functions.
