The Japanese Health and Welfare Co-op Federation (HeW Coop) is a national federation established under the Consumer Livelihood Cooperative Societies Act, formed in 2010 by the merger of medical, nursing and welfare consumer cooperatives previously under JCCU's Medical Division, headquartered in Tokyo. Its members are regional medical and welfare cooperatives and JCCU; according to its website it operates several hospitals and clinics, dedicated to providing medical, health and welfare services through resident-participation cooperative methods.
