General Cooperative Union (GUCOOP.PAL)

The General Cooperative Union (GUCOOP.PAL) is the national organisation representing Palestine's cooperative movement, comprising five sectoral cooperative federations — agriculture, housing, savings and credit, consumer and handicrafts. It provides cooperatives with consultancy, legal and technical services, mediates disputes, assists in forming cooperatives and sectoral federations, and works with the regulatory Ministry of Labour, serving nearly 20,000 members according to its data. GUCOOP.PAL became a full member of the International Cooperative Alliance in 2025.
