Profile
The Federation of Norwegian Agricultural Cooperatives (Norsk Landbrukssamvirke) is the interest-representation organisation for Norway's farmer-owned agricultural cooperative enterprises, headquartered in Oslo. It unites Norway's leading agricultural cooperatives — such as the dairy cooperative TINE and the meat cooperative Nortura — with activities covering the processing and sale of agricultural products, financial services, breeding and artificial insemination, and farm-input retail. According to its website, member cooperatives together generate tens of billions of Norwegian kroner in turnover and employ approximately 16,000 to 18,000 people. The federation is a member of the International Co-operative Alliance and European cooperative organisations.
