Profile
The Federación de Asociaciones Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito de El Salvador de R.L. (FEDECACES) is El Salvador's national second-tier union for the savings and credit cooperative sector, founded in June 1966 with support from CUNA and the "Alliance for Progress" programme. It unites more than 30 savings and credit cooperatives, with operations across the country's 14 departments and more than a hundred outlets, serving wage earners, small and micro enterprises, craftspeople, farmers and professionals. FEDECACES has built a cooperative financial system and is an important pillar of El Salvador's cooperative movement and a member of ICA Americas.
