Farm Credit Armenia Universal Credit Organization (FCA UCO CC)

Farm Credit Armenia (FCA UCO CC) is a cooperative credit institution in Armenia, founded in 2007 by 57 farmers from five of the country's provinces together with foundations affiliated with the United States Farm Credit System; that same year it was registered with the Central Bank of Armenia as a universal credit organisation (a commercial cooperative). It is regarded as Armenia's only financial institution operating on cooperative principles, providing credit primarily to agriculture, agro-processing, rural small and medium enterprises, and small borrowers, whose members are both owners and beneficiaries. FCA is a member of the International Co-operative Alliance and Cooperatives Europe.
