Profile

The European Association of Co-operative Banks (EACB) is the European-level sectoral organisation for cooperative banks, founded in 1970, with its secretariat in Brussels. It represents member cooperative banking institutions from more than 20 countries, whose extensive networks of locally operating cooperative bank branches serve hundreds of millions of customers and members and hold a sizeable share of Europe's retail banking market. EACB primarily represents the cooperative banking sector on EU banking regulation and legislation, and is an important partner organisation of the ICA in European cooperative finance.
