Profile

The Co-operative Association of the Czech Republic (Družstevní asociace České republiky, DACR) is the national coordinating and representative body for the Czech cooperative system, composed of sectoral cooperative unions, dedicated to protecting, supporting and promoting the common interests of cooperatives and their members. Drawing on more than 160 years of Czech cooperative tradition, it represents the cooperative movement in dialogue with legislative and administrative bodies and the public, provides advisory and legislative input for member organisations, and safeguards Czech cooperative interests internationally. The association has a governing council as its executive and statutory body, and is a long-standing member of the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA).
