Cooperative Work Agency (CWA)

The Cooperative Work Agency (CWA) is Palestine's government regulatory body for cooperatives, established under the Cooperatives Law of 2017, replacing the former General Directorate of Cooperatives under the Ministry of Labour, and is the official body responsible for the registration, regulation and support of cooperatives in Palestine. The agency has a board and the affiliated Cooperative Development Institute (CDI) and Cooperative Development Fund (CDF), combining regulatory and promotional functions, and with support from bodies such as the International Labour Organization (ILO), it promotes local cooperative development.
