COOPERATIVA RURAL DE ELECTRIFICACIÓN LIMITADA (CRE)

Cooperativa Rural de Electrificación Ltda. (CRE) was founded on 14 November 1962 and is headquartered in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, responsible for power transmission and distribution across most of Santa Cruz Department. The cooperative has more than 500,000 members, serves 14 provinces, covers about 95% of its jurisdiction, and benefits several million people, making it one of the largest electricity cooperatives in Bolivia and indeed globally, and it occupies a prominent position within the country's cooperative movement.
