Caja Popular Mexicana (CPM) is Mexico's largest savings and credit cooperative (SOCAP), originating from the popular savings and credit movement promoted by Father Pedro Velázquez from 1951, later formed through the merger of numerous popular savings funds, headquartered in León. According to its data, it has about 3.9 million members and more than 500 branches, covering most states nationwide, making it an emblematic institution of Mexican cooperative finance and a member organisation of ICA Americas.
