COOPERATIVA DE TELECOMUNICACIONES SANTA CRUZ (COTAS)

Cooperativa de Telecomunicaciones Santa Cruz R.L. (COTAS) was founded on 16 October 1960, originally named the Santa Cruz Automatic Telephone Cooperative, established by 99 members in Santa Cruz, and began automatic telephone service in 1963. From 1998, it transformed from a single-service telephone cooperative into a comprehensive telecommunications cooperative, adding internet and cable television services; it now provides fixed-line telephony, long distance, data transmission, satellite, internet and pay-television services, making it an important telecommunications operating cooperative in Bolivia's Santa Cruz region.
