CoopFR (CoopFR)

CoopFR (Coop FR, les entreprises coopératives) is France's national representative organisation for cooperative enterprises. Its predecessor, the Groupement national de la coopération (GNC), was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Paris. It comprises cooperative unions and representative organisations across agriculture, consumer cooperation, worker production cooperatives (Scop), banking, maritime activities and other fields, and works to defend and promote the cooperative movement in line with the cooperative principles established by the International Co-operative Alliance. CoopFR represents more than 20,000 French cooperative enterprises and over a million employees, serving as the unified voice of the French cooperative movement, and participates in the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) and European cooperative organisations.
