COOPERATIVA DEL PERSONAL DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE CHILE LIMITADA (COOPEUCH)

Cooperativa del Personal de la Universidad de Chile Limitada (COOPEUCH) is Chile's largest savings and credit cooperative, founded in 1967 by staff of the University of Chile, originally to provide affordable financial services to the university community, and approved by law in 1968. Membership has since expanded to public- and private-sector employees, and it now has hundreds of thousands of members (about 570,000 by its own disclosure), offering savings, credit, credit cards and insurance, among other financial products. It holds a leading position in Chilean cooperative finance and is a major member of ICA Americas.
