Coop Norge

Coop Norge SA is Norway's national consumer cooperative organisation, jointly owned by local consumer cooperatives, with about 2 million members. Its predecessor, the national wholesale union NKL, was founded in 1906 to handle wholesale and procurement functions, and is headquartered in Oslo. Coop operates food grocery, general merchandise and building-materials retail, with more than 1,200 stores under its brands, making it Norway's second-largest food retailer. According to the World Cooperative Monitor 2025 report (2023 data), Coop Norge ranked 113th among the world's cooperatives by turnover, with turnover of about US$5.77 billion, placing it in the global top 300. It is a member of the International Co-operative Alliance and Cooperatives Europe.
