Cooperativas Nacionales Financieras Aliadas en Red (CONFIAR)

Cooperativas Nacionales Financieras Aliadas en Red (CONFIAR), founded in 2001, is a second-tier cooperative in Uruguay formed by a number of savings and credit cooperatives. Its mission is to provide member cooperatives with administrative, technical, financial and consultancy services, and to enhance member cooperatives' operating capacity through joint efforts such as securing lower-cost financing; it is a networked federation within Uruguay's cooperative finance sector and a member of the International Co-operative Alliance.
