CONFEDERACIÓN GUATEMALTECA DE FEDERACIONES COOPERATIVAS (CONFECOOP)

The Confederación Guatemalteca de Federaciones Cooperativas R.L. (CONFECOOP) was founded on 19 May 1977 and obtained legal status in 1979; it is the legal representative body of the Guatemalan cooperative movement at home and abroad. It is a third-tier cooperative organisation comprising about eight federations (covering more than 700 cooperatives), responsible for integrating, representing and coordinating affiliated federations, and is Guatemala's national apex organisation within ICA Americas.
