Co-operative Housing Ireland

Co-operative Housing Ireland (formerly NABCO) was founded in 1973 by representatives of local housing cooperatives, and is the national representative, promotional and development federation of the Irish cooperative housing movement. As an Approved Housing Body (AHB), it partners with local authorities, government departments, tenants and homebuyers to provide cooperative housing, including social rental and shared-ownership schemes. According to its website, it has helped deliver more than 9,700 homes over the years and currently manages more than 6,700 homes. It is a member of the International Co-operative Alliance and Cooperative Housing International (CHI).
