CECOP - CICOPA Europe (CECOP)

CECOP – CICOPA Europe is the European sectoral organisation for worker cooperatives, social cooperatives and participatory social enterprises, founded in 1979 and headquartered in Brussels. It is the European regional body of the International Organisation of Industrial and Service Cooperatives (CICOPA), which has itself been a sectoral organisation of the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) since 1947. According to its website, CECOP brings together about 27 member organisations from 16 European countries, representing tens of thousands of worker and social cooperative enterprises, and advances relevant EU-level legislation and policy advocacy.
