The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) is the Philippine government's lead agency for cooperative affairs, established under Republic Act No. 6939 of 1990, responsible for the registration, regulation and development promotion of cooperatives, federations and unions, implementing the constitutional provisions on supporting cooperatives. CDA maintains several regional offices nationwide, providing management training and technical support to cooperatives, and serves as the official regulatory and support body for the Philippine cooperative movement.
