Profile

The Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU), founded in 1972, is the regional apex sectoral and development organisation for credit unions in the Caribbean, evolving from its predecessor, the West Indies Credit Union Conference (WICCS). CCCU's members are spread across more than a dozen countries and territories, including Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, with activities covering supervisory guidance, promotion of prudential standards, training and education, and institutional capacity-building. It is a member of the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) and the International Co-operative Alliance.
