Belarusian Republican Union of Consumer Societies (Belcoopsoyuz)

The Belarusian Republican Union of Consumer Societies (Belcoopsoyuz, also rendered Belkoopsoyuz) is Belarus's national union of consumer cooperatives, carrying on the institutional tradition of the Soviet-era consumer cooperative system as a state-affiliated cooperative organisation under the Council of Ministers. It oversees regional consumer cooperatives whose activities span retail trade, procurement, catering and production/processing, and it plays a significant role in commerce and everyday services in rural areas. It is a member of the International Co-operative Alliance.
