Profile
The Business Council of Cooperatives and Mutuals (BCCM) is Australia's first national industry body representing cooperative and mutual enterprises, established in 2013 as one of the outcomes of the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives. It was co-founded by the heads of Australia's major cooperative and mutual enterprises and is the only national platform spanning all member-owned enterprise types, with activities across finance, insurance, agriculture, automotive services, healthcare and other sectors, focusing on policy advocacy, industry representation, research and public education. BCCM is also a member of the International Cooperative Alliance, representing Australia's cooperative and mutual sector in international cooperation.
