Banco Credicoop Cooperativo Limitado

Banco Credicoop Cooperativo Limitado is Argentina's largest cooperative bank, formed in March 1979 through the merger of 44 credit cooperatives (cajas de crédito), headquartered in Buenos Aires, operating as a non-profit cooperative. Its formation was linked to the impact of the 1977 Financial Institutions Law on the cooperative credit sector, with roots in the credit cooperative movement promoted by the Instituto Movilizador de Fondos Cooperativos (IMFC). The bank has more than 250 branches nationwide and is regarded as one of the most important cooperative banks in Latin America; it ranks among the world's top 300 cooperatives by turnover in the World Cooperative Monitor and is a major member of ICA Americas.
